A hybrid of a maned wolf and a dragon, my main character for Furcadia.
Her basic markings are that of an ordinary maned wolf's. Then I added my own touch to it. I like her overall. I had a lot of trouble drawing the wings and such, and I think the membrane of the wing (which is kinda transparent) needs to be larger to show it extends to the "pinky" of the wing's hand.
Her pawpads are purple and she has a leatherless pink nose. And her jewlery is celtic white gold.
Suggestions are welcome. Though I think she looks decent the way she is.
Hey. First off, let me say; this is AWESOME. I love it. The way you drew the fur, the lines, the proportions... lovely and aesthetically pleasing. However, there's a few touches which might make it improve
Firstly, where's the other wing? I think it could be at least partly visible, from this perspective. It doesn't seem as if it would be blotted out completely by the other wing. Also, yeah, you might want to make the wings slightly bigger. It'd be rather hard to fly with wings that small Lastly, the arm placement looks to be a little odd. I think the shoulders might be too low. Again I'm not sure on that, it's just that something looks a little funky with the arms.
Otherwise, I love the colors, the way you drew the fur, etc. and now I'm going to check out the rest of your gallery.
I know the other wing should be visable almost in a whole, since the wings are transparent-like. But I'll be honest, I knew I'd have a hell of a time trying to incorporate the other wing into the picture, so I just pretended it didn't exist, for now. And I've never really drawn arms like that before, with small biceps. So you're right, it probably is off to some degree But I really wouldn't know.
More than welcome I wasn't trying to get you to change it, really. I was just pointing out some flaws I spotted. Anyways, sounds like you put a lot of effort into the image.
K I've alread been telling you how absolutely lovely this is since you first showed it to me, but <3<3<3. I think the shoulder placement is perfectly fine <_________<. If you put it up any higher it would be interfering with the wing..blade? you know what I mean :{ I absolutely adore the colors and the prettypretty jewelry (<3 celtic knots) and the way the back arches. It makes her seem dignified.
